Hiring A New Real Estate Agent

So, you are nervous about hiring a new agent. Let me put your mind at ease. New agents may have never actually handled a real estate transaction before but, they are well trained. In order to be an agent, they have to attend 90 hours of training and pass the National and State portions of the exam.

Agents also must be licensed under a Broker (someone who has been in the business at least 3 years and received hours of additional training) who will assist them and make sure all contracts, negotiations and activities follow regulations and are done correctly. After all, the agents represent the Broker so the Broker's business and reputation lies in how well an Agent performs.

Still nervous? The best agents have to start somewhere and who is more likely to go to extremes to assist their client? A new agent. They want to build their clientele, get good reviews and they need the paycheck! New agents are more likely to give the best customer service possible because you may be the link to their next sale. Give a new agent a chance and remember, no matter WHO you are, you have to start somewhere.
